Overview:
StemWarriorHacks is an international, student-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit hackathon aiming to inspire young innovators and thinkers to pursue a career in the field of programming and open their eyes to the depths, diversity, and power of computer science. Our hands-on hackathon event simulates the real world and will help participants build skills such as effectively working with others, managing time, applying knowledge in real situations, and problem-solving when unexpected situations arise. During our first hackathon, we provided free, high-quality workshops and speaker events where both first-time coders and experienced coders learned new skills, met new people and ignited their passion for computer science. We had over 300+ participants with 60k+ in prizes and are expecting much more this time!
Time, Location & Eligibility:
Our hackathon will be hosted online between 12/31 to 1/2. Note you must submit your project before 12:00 AM PST (all our timings are in PST/PDT). We target middle and high school students who are beginners at programming; however, anybody above the age of 13 worldwide is welcome to join, and no previous coding experience is required!
Agenda:
Our agenda is posted on our discord server as well as and under rules.
Prizes:
Currently, we have over $100k+ in prizes, with many prizes given to every participant regardless of how well they did. More information is provided under the prizes section. Note that prize information may be outdated by one to two days because we are constantly updating.
Platform:
Discord will be our main platform for communication, so make sure to join the server listed below. In addition, we will be using devpost as our main platform for team creation, project submission, and sign ups.
